Family Night and Personal Chef

Family Night provides a much needed opportunity to relax and interact with the other families staying at Brent’s Place, when families are invited to a weekly volunteer prepared family-style meal.  This gathering serves as a “night out” for our residents.

Personal Chef nights help our families on difficult clinic days. Twice a week, volunteers prepare individual, family-sized meals that are delivered to each apartment.

We also have family style breakfast on Friday mornings!

Outings and Activities

Our staff and volunteers plan weekly outings and activities for our patients, caregivers, and siblings to enjoy some of the activities that Denver has to offer. Outings include trips to IMAX, Denver Zoo, Denver Botanic Gardens, Tiny Town and more. Activities include movie nights with fresh popcorn, arts & crafts, and Wii tournaments!

Resource Center

Our resource center allows families access to countless DVDs, books, board games, and crafts to enjoy in the comfort of their apartment or with a Brent’s Place staff member. Our computer center is also available for family members, with two computers and high speed internet access.

New Ideas and Family Specific Services

Brent’s Place is constantly striving to meet the unique needs of each family with ever-expanding programming. Families staying at Brent’s Place enjoy the game room, playground, birthday and holiday celebrations, massages, facials and more.

In 2011, we piloted new programs for food boxes to be received upon family check in, a food pantry, daily coffee and pastry counter and a caregiver support group.
